The Rocker is an upcoming comedy to be released August 20, 2008. It stars Rainn Wilson, Christina Applegate, Teddy Geiger, Will Arnett, Emma Stone, and Bradley Cooper. The teaser trailer has also been released. This film has been rated PG-13 by MPAA. The movie is about a Musician Robert “Fish” Fishman (Rainn Wilson) who is fired from Vesuvius, a fictional ’80s hair band, before they become famous. The movie follows him as he gets a second chance at fame when he joins the garage band of his nephew Matt (Josh Gad). His love interest (Christina Applegate) is the mother of the band’s guitarist, Curtis (Teddy Geiger). Pete Best, a former member of The Beatles who suffered a similar fate, has a cameo role in the film as himself.

Lakeview Terrace is about a young couple Chris Mattson and Lisa Mattson who have just moved into their California dream home when they become the target of their next-door neighbor, who disapproves of their interracial relationship. A stern, single father, this tightly wound LAPD officer Abel Turner has appointed himself the watchdog of the neighborhood. His nightly foot patrols and overly watchful eyes bring comfort to some, but he becomes increasingly harassing to the newlyweds. These persistent intrusions into their lives ultimately turn tragic when the couple decides to fight back.
