Step Brothers is a 2008 comedy film directed by Adam McKay, produced by Knocked Up’s Judd Apatow, and starring Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly.The film has been rated R by the MPAA for “crude and sexual content and pervasive language.” While writing the screenplay, Adam McKay and Will Ferrell decided to make the screenplay very filthy with a hard R rating, much more different than their first two film projects Anchorman and Talladega Nights.
